MELROSS ESTATE, KANGAROO VALLEY, NSW.

Once again Melross Estate in Kangaroo Valley turned it up to 11 for Hannah and Ben’s wedding. Not only was it a cracking day weather wise, but it was one of the most fun and laughter filled weddings of all time. Check out the photos and without doubt you’ll know they had the greatest day of their lives.

No rush

These two had been together for a whopping 14.5 years before they tied the knot. Hannah is one patient woman! Although they knew they were going to be together forever and never felt like there was any rush to make it official. Hannah said that because they were together for so long, getting married was about celebrating their relationship with their family and friends, more so than making anything “official”. Melross Estate was the perfect to help do that and everything they could have asked for.

On their 10th anniversary together they decided they need a fur baby in their life and decided on a staffy. They named her Pia after a city in France where they lived while Ben was over there playing rugby league. Pia was there while Hannah was getting ready and shedding a tear reading Ben’s heart felt note. She’s was also on flower girl duties, being the first to walk down the aisle.

To maximise the amount of time Ben and Hannah would spend with their guests we broke the photo shoot up into two part. For the first part after the ceremony I took the bridal party out and we found the pockets of gorgeous sunlight for some photos. We they wandered into some nearby fields there at Melross Estate where we were set upon by some curious cows. The sunset shoot was only 10 mins and a chance for Ben and Hannah to spend some time alone and to take in everything that had happened until that point. The lighting was very different to earlier in the day and the colours of the surrounding Kangaroo Valley looked amazing.

Melross Estate is one of my favourite venues to shoot a wedding at. There are so many great photo locations on the property and the way the light hits the surrounding mountains as the sun sets is incredible.
