Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to travel to India for Sidd and Meagan’s wedding. It was the most amazingly unforgettable experience and I can’t wait to go back and explore the country more. Before I left so many people told me that I wound’t like Delhi because it was so dirty, chaotic and different to life here in Australia. They were right about the pollution and chaos but I found it to be so amazing. Not only is it a photographers dream but the people are incredible. They were so warm and welcoming, going out of their way to do anything for you. The poverty was extreme in some areas and even though they had nothing they were so happy to be alive. It definitely makes you appreciate what you have a whole lot more.
The wedding events were spread out over 6 days but we still had plenty of time to explore Delhi and get to the Taj Mahal one day. Not all events appear below because there are just so many photos. These are the main events and a few travel photos thrown in there for good measure.
Local photographers and videographers were still hired to do their jobs as per all India weddings. I was there to capture everything else with my usual style and point of view.
Thanks to my brother Luke who tagged along, kept me company and took a few photos for me. Thank you to Sidd and Megs for making it happen. Thanks to all friends and family on both sides for making it a really amazing trip!
