Merribee is a magical place and my favourite location for a wedding on the NSW south coast. I had the pleasure of staying there recently with my family for a weekend. I can confidently say that I now know every nook and cranny Merribee has to offer, and there are a lot of them to choose from!
Everywhere you look at Merribee you see charm and character. Even in winter when the trees are bare and the flowers have been pruned there is still beauty everywhere. If you think the place looks great in these photos you’ll lose your mind when you see everything blooming in spring.
Directly behind the main house is this awesome courtyard for guests to enjoy drinks and canapés post ceremony.
You’ve never seen a silo quite like this. Great place for couples to stay on their wedding night.
Not only do the gardens look great but they’re also filled with lots of amazing fruit and vegies. When you stay at Merribee they encourage you to cook meals in their huge country style kitchen using all he fresh produce from the garden.
This hen lays a good egg. Much better than what you can buy at woolies!
My future assistant.
This area looks bare this time of the year but from spring it transforms into competition worthy rose garden.
As you can tell I’m a huge fan of the place. Not only is it a sensational wedding location that you can really make your own, it’s also a great place to stay if you want to relax and get away from it all
Merribee is only 6kms drive from Nowra, about 2 hours south of Sydney.
